A tragic incident at Tavarekoppa Zoo in Shivamogga district has shocked the entire state, causing widespread grief and concern. Veterinarian Dr. Sameeksha Reddy lost her life after being attacked by a hippopotamus while attending to an animal.

According to sources, the hippo at the zoo was reportedly facing health issues, and Dr. Sameeksha Reddy had gone to provide medical treatment. During the process, the animal suddenly turned aggressive and attacked her. She sustained severe injuries and was declared dead at the spot.
